संकल्पना:
एक बल द्वारा किया गया कार्य इस प्रकार परिभाषित किया जाता है: विस्थापन की दिशा में ब्लॉक पर लागू बल के घटक और विस्थापन का परिमाण के गुणनफल को किया गया कार्य कहा जाता है।
जब किसी वस्तु पर बल लगाया जाता है तो इसके परिणामस्वरुप बल की दिशा में विस्थापन होता है तो उसे बल द्वारा किया गया कार्य कहा जाता है।
W= F.dx = Fdxcosθ
यहाँ बल और विस्थापन दोनों एक ही दिशा में होंगे, क्योंकि बल के कारण यह विस्थापन होता है, और इस प्रकार किया गया कार्य एक अदिश राशि कहलाता है।

Concept:
The work done by a force is defined as: The product of the component of the applied force on the block in the direction of the displacement and the magnitude of this displacement is called work done.
When a force is applied on an object which causes displacement along the direction of force then the work is said to be done by that force.
W= F.dx = Fdxcosθ
Here both force and displacement will be along the same direction since force is causing this displacement thus Work done is a scalar quantity.
