  1. Glands inside the mouth:

    • Salivary Gland:
    1. The salivary gland inside the mouth secretes saliva due to which food becomes ‘Moist’.
    2. Saliva contains an enzyme called ‘Amylase/Tyline’ which converts starch into maltose (a simple sugar), it shows that the process of digestion starts from the mouth. Apart from that, Saliva contains sodium, potassium, Bicarbonates and Lysozyme (Predator of microbes).
    3. Saliva is alkaline in nature
    4. There are 4 pairs of salivary glands in mammals
    • Parotid Gland
    • Submandibular Gland
    • Sublingual Gland
    • Zygomatic Gland

Ebner’s Gland – These glands are present in Tongue, cheek, and lips (from inside). These glands secrete a small amount of LipaseHence option B is Correct.
