Session I (2 Hours 15 Minutes):
-
-
Section 1: Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning and General Intelligence (60 Questions).
-
Section 2: English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness (60 Questions).
-
Section 3: Computer Knowledge Module (15 Questions - Qualifying).
-
Session II:
-
-
Skill Test / Typing Test: Mandatory for all posts. Speed required is 35 wpm for English or 30 wpm for Hindi.
-
7. Preparation Strategy for Tier-II
-
Focus on Section 2: English and General Awareness are often the "game-changers." High accuracy in English can significantly boost your merit.
-
Daily Typing Practice: Don't wait for the Tier-II result to start typing. Consistency is key to reaching 35 wpm with 95% accuracy.
-
Computer Knowledge: This is a qualifying section, but many candidates fail here despite scoring high in other sections. Read standard books or NIELIT CCC material.
-
Mock Tests: Practice the 2-hour 15-minute continuous sitting to build stamina for the actual exam day.

Q1: When was the SSC CHSL 2025 Tier 1 Result declared? Ans: The result was officially declared on February 27, 2026.
Q2: How many candidates have been shortlisted for Tier-II in total? Ans: Across all three lists, approximately 39,901 candidates have been qualified to appear for the Tier-II examination.
Q3: Where can I check my individual marks for Tier-I? Ans: The marks and final answer keys of both qualified and non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on the official website ssc.gov.in in due course.
Q4: Is there a separate cut-off for the Science stream for DEO posts? Ans: Yes. List 2 is specifically for DEO Grade 'A' posts that require a Science background (as per Para 8.1 of the notice), and it has a higher cut-off (169.5 for UR).
Q5: What is the negative marking in the Tier-II exam? Ans: In Tier-II, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-1, Section-2, and Module-I of Section-3.
Q6: I am an OBC candidate but qualified with UR cut-off. Which list will I be in? Ans: You will be included in the OBC category available list, but your score is above the UR threshold. The Commission counts you against the UR vacancy during the final allotment if you don't use age or other relaxations.
Q7: When will the Tier-II examination be conducted? Ans: The schedule will be uploaded on the SSC website shortly. It is usually conducted within 2-3 months of the Tier-I result declaration.
Q8: Can I change my typing language for Tier-II now? Ans: No. The medium for the typing test was to be chosen at the time of filling out the online application form.
Q9: What happens if my result is withheld? Ans: If your roll number is among the 10 withheld roll numbers, you can still appear for Tier-II, but your final result will depend on the resolution of your specific case/litigation.
Q10: What is the salary of an LDC in Indian Railways/Ministries? Ans: LDC/JSA are Level-2 posts (Pay Scale: ₹19,900 - ₹63,200). The gross monthly salary in X-category cities (like Delhi/Mumbai) is approximately ₹35,000 - ₹38,000 including allowances.
