The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a revised schedule for the Computer Based Test (CBT) for the post of Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III under CEN No. 02/2025. The selection process for Technicians is straightforward but competitive:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): A single-stage exam (Note: Grade I Signal and Grade III have different patterns).

2. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisting based on CBT marks (1:1 ratio).

Technician Grade I Signal (Level 5)

• Duration: 90 Minutes.

• Total Questions: 100 MCQs.

• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

Technician Grade III (Level 2)

• Duration: 90 Minutes.

• Total Questions: 100 MCQs.

• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

4. Detailed Syllabus Topics

Mathematics (Common)

• Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics.

General Science (Focus for Grade III)

• Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences up to 10th standard CBSE level. This section carries the highest weightage (40 marks) for Grade III.

Basic Science & Engineering (Focus for Grade I)

• Physics Fundamentals (Units, Measurements, Mass, Weight, Density), Work, Power and Energy, Speed and Velocity, Heat and Temperature, Basic Electricity, Levers and Simple Machines, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Education, IT Literacy.

5. How to Download RRB Technician Admit Card 2026

1. Official Portal: Visit the official website of the RRB you applied to (e.g., RRB Bangalore, RRB Secunderabad, RRB Patna).

2. Notice Board: Find the link "CEN 02/2025 - Link for Downloading E-Call Letter".

3. Login: Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.

4. Download: Your exam city and date will be visible first. The actual admit card will be available exactly 4 days before your specific exam date.

5. Print: Take a clear printout. Ensure your photograph and the QR code are clearly visible.

6. Important Guidelines for Candidates

• Aadhaar Authentication: Biometric authentication using Aadhaar is mandatory at the exam center. Ensure your Aadhaar is unlocked.

• Travel Pass: SC/ST candidates who opted for the free travel pass can download it along with the city intimation slip.

• Documents: Carry the Original Aadhaar Card and one passport-size color photograph to the center.
