BPSC Vice Principal (ITI) Recruitment 2026: Interview & DV Schedule Out!

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially announced the recruitment of Vice Principals and equivalent level posts in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the Labour Resources Department, Govt. of Bihar. With the written results declared, the commission has now released the much-awaited Document Verification (DV) and Interview Schedule for 2026.

6. Educational Qualification

  • Basic Qualification: A regular (non-distance) Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Engg. / B.S.) from an AICTE-approved institution or a UGC-recognized university.

  • Desirable Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in a relevant discipline.

  • Note: While work/teaching experience is not mandatory, it carries additional weightage during final merit preparation.

7. Mode of Selection (Detailed)

The final selection is based on a composite score out of 200 Marks:

  1. Written Examination (150 Marks): Objective type OMR-based exam covering General Engineering Science and General Aptitude.

  2. Academic & Experience Weightage (20 Marks): Based on the candidate's professional degree and work experience.

  3. Interview (30 Marks): Evaluation of leadership skills, technical knowledge, and suitability for the role.

  4. Final Merit: Prepared by combining marks from all three stages.

8. Reservation Criteria

  • Domicile: Benefits of reservation are only applicable to permanent residents of Bihar.

  • Vertical Reservation: Provided for SC, ST, EBC, and BC categories.

  • Horizontal Reservation: 35% seats are reserved for women. Reservation also applies to Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters (2%) and PwBD (4%).

10. Syllabus

  • General Engineering Science (100 Marks): Covers core concepts from various engineering branches (Thermodynamics, Mechanics, Electrical circuits, Materials Science, etc.).

  • General Aptitude (50 Marks): Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Mental Ability, and General Awareness.

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 (1/4th) marks deducted for every wrong answer.
