6. Educational Qualification

The eligibility is strictly aligned with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) norms.

For Class 1-5 (Primary)

  • 12th Pass (Minimum 50% marks) and D.El.Ed in Special Education from an RCI recognized institute.

  • Must hold a valid CRR Number from the Rehabilitation Council of India.

  • Qualified in BSSTET Paper-I.

  • 6-month training in cross-disability area.

For Class 6-8 (Middle)

  • Graduation (Minimum 50% marks) and B.Ed in Special Education from an RCI recognized institute.

  • Must hold a valid CRR Number from RCI.

  • Qualified in BSSTET Paper-II.

  • 6-month training in cross-disability area.

7. Mode of Selection (Detailed)

Selection is based on a Written Examination (Objective). There is no interview for these posts.

  1. Written Test: Candidates appear for a Computer Based Test or OMR based objective exam.

  2. Qualifying Marks:

    • General: 40%

    • BC: 36.5%

    • EBC: 34%

    • SC/ST/Women/PwD: 32%

  3. Merit List: Based on marks obtained in the written exam. For Class 1-5, marks from Part-II determine merit. For Class 6-8, marks from Part-II and Part-III are considered.

  4. Document Verification: Verification of RCI CRR numbers, BSSTET certificates, and educational credentials.

8. Reservation Criteria

  • Bihar Domicile: Only permanent residents of Bihar are eligible for reservation benefits.

  • OBC/EBC: Must submit Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificates.

  • Women: Horizontal reservation as per Bihar government rules.

  • PwD: 4% horizontal reservation for benchmark disabilities.

9. Age Relaxation

  • Part-II (General Studies): Primary Math, Mental Ability, General Awareness, General Science, Social Science, Indian National Movement, Geography, and Environment (120 Marks).

For Class 6-8

  • Part-I (Language): 30 Marks (Qualifying).

  • Part-II (General Studies): Math, Science, Social Science, etc. (40 Marks).

  • Part-III (Subject Specific): One subject from Math & Science, Social Science, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, or English (80 Marks).
