The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially released the Admit Cards for the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Mains Examination 2026. This recruitment phase is for candidates who have successfully qualified in the Preliminary competitive examination. 2. BPSC ASO Mains Exam Pattern

The Mains examination consists of two descriptive-cum-objective papers conducted over two days.

Paper-I: General Hindi (Qualifying)

  • Status: Qualifying (Minimum 30% marks required).

  • Questions: 100 Marks.

  • Duration: 2 Hours.

  • Note: Marks from this paper are not added to the final merit list, but passing is mandatory to evaluate Paper-II.

Paper-II: General Studies (Merit Deciding)

  • Status: Merit-based.

  • Marks: 150 Marks.

  • Duration: 2 Hours 15 Minutes.

  • Subjects: General Science, Mathematics, Mental Ability (Reasoning), and General Awareness.

3. How to Download BPSC ASO Mains Admit Card 2026

  1. Official Website: Visit bpsc.bih.nic.in or onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.

  2. Login: Enter your Username and Password created during the application process.

  3. Admit Card Section: On your dashboard, click on the "Mains Admit Card Download" button.

  4. Instructions: Read the undertaking and click the checkbox to proceed.

  5. Print: Download the PDF. Ensure you take two clear printouts (one extra for backup).

4. Mandatory Documents for Exam Hall

Candidates must bring the following to the BPSC designated center:

  • Printed Admit Card: Downloaded from the official portal.

  • Valid Photo ID (Original): Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID.

  • Photographs: Two passport-size photos (matching the one uploaded).

  • Declaration Form: If the photo/signature on the admit card is blurry, download the declaration form from the BPSC website, fill it out, and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer.

5. Important Guidelines for Candidates

  • Reporting Time: Gates will close 1 hour before the examination starts. No candidate will be allowed entry thereafter.

  • Biometric Attendance: Strict biometric thumb impression and facial recognition will be performed at the gate.

  • Prohibited Items: Digital watches, calculators, mobile phones, and any paper other than the admit card are strictly banned.

  • OMR/Answer Sheet: Use only Black/Blue Ballpoint pen for filling details. Use of whitener or blade on the answer sheet will lead to disqualification.
