3. Application Fee and Mode of Payment
Candidates must submit the processing fee online through the BHU Entrance Test Portal.

6. Educational Qualification

For Class IX: Candidates must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school.

For Class XI: Candidates must have passed Class X from a recognized Board/University with a minimum percentage.

7. Selection Mode (Detailed)
Method 1: E-Lottery (Bal Vatika to Class VI)
BHU uses a transparent computerized lottery system.

Random Seed Generation: A unique random number is generated for each applicant using MS-Excel.

Order of Preference: Seats are filled first for BHU Employee Wards, then Divyang (OH), followed by General and Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).

Q1. Can a girl student apply for Class IX in BHU CHS?
Ans. As per the 2026 bulletin, Class IX SET is conducted only for Central Hindu Boys' School (CHBS). There are currently no vacancies listed for girls in Class IX for CHGS.

Ans. No, there is no negative marking in the BHU SET 2026 examination.
Q3. What is the minimum qualifying mark for the SET?
Ans. General and OBC candidates must secure at least 33% marks. SC, ST, and OH candidates must secure at least 25% marks.
